Chceš preto lyžu do  90 mm najlepšie okolo 85 mm.
ak ti zákony fyziky niečo hovoria čim širšia lyža, tým slabšie drži na tvrdom podklade, a opačne dobre preto zváž aké podmienky panujú v miestach kde budeš celú sezónu jazdiť.

Tvoja nová lyža by mala končiť niekde okolo tvojích úst.

Ak je tvoj budget obmedzený prelustruj minuloročné modely so zľavami. Ak budeš mať šťastie ušetríš aj polovicu, čo može znamenať peniaze na sezónku, alebo pvc rúru ktorú si osadíš pod kuchynským oknom.

Príklady čo by som obzeral ja keby som na tvojom mieste.

Zhrnutie freestyle lyze:
šírka: 75-90 mm pod viazaním
dĺžka medzi ustami a nosom. Záleží na jazdedckých schopnostiach.
Viazanie namontovať podľa geometrického stredu do zadu o 1 až 3 centimetre. mínus jedna ked ti to ide lepšie minus 3 keď budeš jazdiť viac prašan.

Zatial sa maj Janči, čoskoro púšťajú lanovky, idem chystať svoje.

Late May sunbathing at Superpark Dachstein

Der Superpark Dachstein a.k.a "the roof"

It all started with Pinguin (Marek and other polar animals like it when it's cold :D) complaining about too much heat in Žilina. He was like "Guys i can't take it any more, we need to go skiing somewhere again. There must be some snow left up at some glacier in Europe". Well it didn't take him too long to convince us (OJ and Diki) to go with it and we started to make this trip happen. Decision about where to go was quite simple. Superpark Dachstein in Austria is not so far from Slovakia and it offers one of the best summer snowparks in Europe.

Roof selfie level Dachstein

Superpark Dachstein is approximately 350 km drive from Bratislava so you can easily reach it within 4 hours. When you arrive one day in advance and wake up early to catch the first gondola on the next day, you might as well get ride on the roof of it, 200 m above the ground. This will definitely leave your mouth open and wake you up.

But the real roof, how the locals call it, only starts when you get off the gondola at the top. Spectacular views wherever you look. Mountains of Steiermark and Niederoesterreich, shining sun and great looking park just in front of you. Ok let's take some photos and then skis on and let's hit the park.

From left to right: Pro, Medium and Beginner Area

Ouuu boy and the first runs were just epic. Since we took the first gondola up, we had the whole park from 9-10 just for ourselves. What a private session. Okay, it was Friday, but also during weekend there are no lift lines so you just keep doing laps over and over again.

Just us and the jib line

Because we are big boys, we spent most of the time in the Pro Area of the snowpark. To warm up, we started with the jib line. Here you have 5 platforms with two hits on each one, so you will definitely have a lot of fun and variety on the way down. Boxes on one side and rails on the other. We especially liked the two flat-down rails where you could transfer or disaster all the way to the bottom. Not to mention the little cannon up rail where we were spinning 450s off like there's no tomorrow.

Pinguin ready to dial the blind 4 out

Diki clearing the step down in an indian style

After warming up we decided to test out the jumps, before the snow gets too slushy and slow. Kicker line consists of 3 jumps in one line plus a small corner at the very bottom on the left. Each platform has two jumps with bigger and smaller option. The last two kickers can be transferred from one to another if you feel strong enough for it.

OJ "posing" on the first platform

When you get tired, there are plenty of benches and since you are on the roof also deckchairs to sit on. Enjoy the sun, grab a bite, have a drink, chat to your friends or make new ones. Everybody is really nice and friendly up there, it really feels like we "snow lovers" are one big family.

The hang out time

Dachstein Superpark is really a unique place for early or late summer shreds. Fine snowpark with lot of space to challenge your skills and creativity either on jumps or rails. Awesome views and great atmosphere among the riders make this place what it is. We are already thinking about coming back again and we only got back three days ago. Pay this place a visit and you will feel the same.

/OJ

Btw: Make sure you bring your sun cream with you and that you put it on at least twice a day, otherwise you will get sunburned like Diki did. Sun is strong up there :). Now enjoy the short video edit and more photos in our gallery.

PARK UPDATE_26/FEB/2017_GUBALOWKA,POL__The best park views

Million dollar view and million dollar mute

Week after week we have been postponing to come to Gubalowka for whatever reasons. But last weekend we finally managed to get there. Our whole crew headed up north to Zuberec where part of us decided to stay at local big air contest Zuberska Forsta and the other part headed even further north, to Zakopane, Poland. Which I think was a better decision, but judge it after reading these lines.

If you come to Gubalowka to ski, you are at the wrong place. You will not find here any slopes or off-piste terrain, just rails and jumps. Which I love, but JR was upon arrival like: "Wait, there is only park? Shit, what am I going to do here?" Well he took the advantage of a spectacular view of High Tatras, shining sun and grabbed a chair and chilled for the rest of the day :). But now back to the park report of Goobaya - Snowpark Gubalowka

Boys chillin in the park

Park can be divided into several lines. The "pro line" is on the skiers left and consist basically of 2 massive kickers. First one around 10+ meters which is pretty nice for mid-air-spins and second one the "money booter" with table of ca 14+ which sends you high and far away so you can admire the whole Zakopane from the birds perspective.

The big kickers with corner on the right side below hut

Moving to the right side of the park (to a "medium" and "beginner line") you can hit a little corner jump below the Freestyle Academy hut so you can get a nice picture with some mad freeski grab with beautiful scenery behind it like I did. After landing a corner you have three options. Beginner line on the left, jib line in the middle and medium line on the right side. The beginner line consist of two jibs (box and a T-box) and two mini size jumps with table sizes of approximately 2 meters.

Beginner line jibs

The middle section is only a jib section and is made of 3 rail platforms with 2 rails each platform. Starting from the top you have a up-flat rail on the left and a flat tube which is great for spinning off of it on the right.

Overview of the jib section

1st. platform of the jib section

Coming to a second jib platform you will find here a street down tube and a down rail with a "transfer rail" option to get to it. Not sure how it is called but I'm sure you will get if from the picture. And the last platform has a double kink down-flat-down rail and a short straight rail also good for spins off of it.

2nd. jib platform

And last but not least, at the skiers very very right side, by the woods, there is a medium line that includes a down T-box and a 2 kickers with size of ca. 4 and 6 m. This line was the most fun for us because you can jib and jump in one run and we spent most of the time here. And it was good for rehearsing some old switch tricks.

Medium line jib hit

Medium line jumps on the right

Don't come here if you want to ski. There are no slopes here, just jumps and rails. That means there are no gapers, just thousands of people who took the funicular to get to the top to take a selfie. (don't worry they don't have ski boots so they won't be in your way :D)
The only people you meet on the snow are park rats :). To sum it all up in Gubalowka you have great park, great views and great people who make up a great atmosphere, that you won't want to go home.

PARK_UPDATE_KAROLINKA,CZE_29/JAN/2017_LONG TIME RELATIONSHIP

Get to know: Snowpark Karolinka

If you have never been here before and you had no idea what to expect you might be more than surprised and overwhelmed upon your arrival. Karolinka is something like a small version of Park City Utah terrain park that has been cut out and placed in this small town in Czech Republic. No shabby run-ins, landings or junk rails, but tip-top shaping on the highest level. The whole snowpark consists of 7 platforms so you have 7 hits in one run (3 jumps + 4 rails) which gives you plenty room to throw down and to show off your skills.
///
Celý park pozostáva zo 7-mich platforiem takže máš 7 možností (3 skoky a 4 raily) ukázať čo vieš.

Right at the top as you get off the lift you have to turn sharply to the left where you will find a "warm up" platform that is made of the most easiest and the most difficult obstacle of the whole park. A simple flat box and a f*$^&#g S-rail. The 12 meter long S-rail requires a lot of patience and effort but once you clear it, it is the best feeling ever. When you fall in love with it you won't want to go home :)
///
Jednoduchá široká bedňa a f*****g S-rail. Ak si to zamiluješ. nebudeš už chcieť ísť ani domov.

The "warm up" platform

If you have enough of falling on the S-rail you can head down to the main part of the park, which starts with a rail platform with 3 options. Skiers view from right to the left with easy, medium and advanced line so a down box, down flat-bar rail and double-kink (down-flat-down) rail respectively.
///

You choose which one you go for

The legend Ondra Neumann going for the middle rail

Then it's air time. Three jumps are ahead of you. Starting with a small kicker with table of approximately 4 meters, then middle jump with ca. 8 m table and finishing with a "money booter" with 12 m long table. Landings are smooth and nice and kickers pretty kicky so you don't need a lot of speed, but you will fly high. First and second jump are very good for switch hits. So it's perfect time to get your ss 3s and 5s mastered both ways.
///
Teraz prichádza air time. Pred tebou sa nachádzajú tri skoky. Začína to malým kickrom s table okolo 4 m, pokračuje so skokom s ca. 8 metrovým tablom a celé to zakončuje "money booter" ktorého table má cez 12 metrov.

Rail platform with first kicker

Working on your switch spins

The "money booter" a.k.a the last jump gives you a lot of pop and the landing si quite long so if you feel strong you can even go for double. We tried only some 5s, 7s and some corks and it's really a comfy jump. Make sure to hit the breaks big time, when you land, otherwise you will get a speeding ticket :D. The lading is very steep and you need to slow down a lot before you go for the last two rail platforms.
///

Above Karolinka

All three jump beauties

If you successfully managed to slow down you can now choose between a down flat-bar rail on the skiers right side or a donkey-dick rail on the left. The donkey-dick is fun to hit, but be careful it can be also very tricky.
///

Landing of the last kicker and second last rail platform

Last hit in Karolinka is the ultimate playground with 3+ possibilities. You have flat-down box which is very good for learning switch-ups. Once you have them down-down you can try them on the flat-down mailbox which has a little gap between its parts, so no mistakes are tolerated here. In the middle there is a straight T-Box which could be good for getting those 450s out. Well and because the take-off stretches across the whole platform you can try a lot of different stuff, maybe some transfers, or i don't know, it's up to you and your imagination. That's why it's called freestyle.
///

Ultimate jibbing playground

The bottom part of the park

Snowpark in Karolinka is definitely not a one-night stand. There is so much things to do here. It will challenge your inner you and it will teach you how to conquer your fears and how to improve your freeski/snowboard skills. The variety of possibilities on every platform will keep you occupied and won't let you sleep until you do the trick you had in your head. I myself will for sure come back and reserve at least two days only for the S-rail. There is so many things you can do on it. And not like any other relationship, rail can never break your heart.
///
